piece and he sat, had to take days off of work. believe me, the ins pretended he didn't exist. the i.r.s. found him immediately. take days off work and sit in the front row and have to spend hours waiting in order to get this. we are educated people with means. and resources. it's that difficult for us. the system is broken. not only that, if the high-tech companies really want to fulfill the jobs they have, that they say, however there are, 80,000 that microsoft put out the other day, that in the industry they don't have enough engineers, they are not going to be able to get that bill passed through this congress. thinking pragmatic i. will they won't get it done without a comprehensive piece. what rand paul did today is maybe he disappointed a lot of people in love with him last week. but i think the good thing about him is he has true core beliefs. there is a lot worse that you could have in washington today. >> andrea: i do doubt that the republican party will be able to pull the voters in the party. but from right thing to do perspective, i feel like is it the right thing to do.

to work very hard, but that's my own pin. he could get more seasoning. if they don't carry florida. if we florida, and we just do as the states that we carried in the last six in a row, we're going to win it. so i -- i hope that they cede florida to us the that would be the best news we could have. but they have other problems getting from here to there. if you look at this cpac thing, this is a party that can't even agree on slavery. they're talking about rape. you know, it's pretty weird stuff going on there. when you have a meeting like that, with all the reporters, and they're having a discussion about slavery, i don't think that's what they were trying to get out to the voters, but that's the way some people in the party feel. those people will be out, trying to vote, trying to pick their nominee. i don't know if the powers to be will be able to shut these people up. brother limbaugh is not happy about attempts to marginalize him, and neither is mr. beck. they're trying to marginalize him over there, too. >> they're making a lot of noise, an it's music to yours ears. >> it is, it is.

the idea that a presidential, that a party can hold on to the white house for three terms in a row is very, very rare, it's very difficult, and the idea that hillary clinton is the woman who can do that i find a little unlikely. i don't think barack obama's popularity transfers to her. if you watch that "60 minutes" interview with hillary clinton and barack obama, you could see why barack obama is more popular than hillary clinton as a politician, because he's a much more dynamic and engaging personality, and hillary just did not seem like she was a particularly interesting person or exciting person to listen to or follow. jon: "the washington post" is out with a poll on gay marriage that is kind of an outlier. the fox news poll and other polls taken til now have said the country is pretty evenly split on whether or not gay marriage is a good thing, so why make that sort of the first shot out of the cannon, if you will, if this is, in fact, a presidential campaign? >> well, i think part of it is the pressure was on the democratic party among the donor base which is wildly pro-gay marriage.
